Concerning Discipline

I don’t know about you, but self-discipline is not something I do very well, but it is something I need to do well. (I hate it when that happens)

In trying to teach myself discipline, I’ve learned a lot about myself. (Funny how when you teach, you learn…)

First, I’ve learned that if I rely on others to tell me things, then I never become disciplined in it myself, I become disciplined in responding to them. Which means that yeah, I’m gonna mess it up a lot, because it takes time for me to get myself into that routine, that habit. Which means I need a lot of grace from both myself and others.
