“You are a slave, Neo. Like everyone else you were born into bondage. Into a prison that you cannot taste or see or touch. A prison for your mind.”
~ Morpheus, The Matrix (1999)
These words ring true for us too, not just Neo. We find ourselves in this prison. It seems that many of us don’t know it, but we live in this world that all it does is imprison us to who we could really be. The ability to change the world.
We all have this ability to change the world. We really do. But so many of us believe the prison around us, we limit ourselves, believe the lies that people tell us, and accept defeat.
We hear all theses stories of people, some of them only 14, 15, or 16 years old, doing incredible things. We look at them and wonder how they do it. They don’t take no for an answer. They don’t accept that the world around them “is what it is” and they set out to change it.
In The Matrix, they go on to talk about “freeing your mind”, understanding that all the “rules” of the world can change, can be manipulated, if you just accept that it’s doesn’t have to be that way.
What are you accepting as real that maybe isn’t? If you had no limits to your “world” what would you change about it?
