I’m sorry I have to say it but you look like you’re sad
Your smile is gone; I’ve noticed it bad
The cure is if you let in just a little more love
I promise you this, a little’s enough
These lyrics have been stuck in my head all yesterday, last night, and today. It’s a song called “A Little’s Enough” by Angels & Airwaves. This whole song is about dealing with pain.
When all is said and done
Will we still feel pain inside?
Will the scars go away with night?
Try to smile for the morning light
It’s like the best dream to have
Where every thing is not so bad
Every tear is so alone
When it’s all over, will we still feel pain? Does time really heal all wounds? Is it worth pressing on? Or is it all a dream?
Like God himself is coming home to say
I, I can do anything
If you want me here
And I can fix any thing
If you let me near
Where are those secrets now
That you’re too scared to tell
I’d whisper them all aloud
So you can hear yourself
Luckily we are not alone. There is someone who is here with us. He can do anything, all we have to do is ask. He can fix all the problems, take away all the pain, puts it all in perspective.
I’m sorry I have to say it but you look like you’re sad
Your smile is gone; I’ve noticed it bad
The cure is if you let in just a little more love
I promise you this, a little’s enough
Let God in, and you let love in, because God is love. Let in a little bit of love, and it will begin to heal everything. I love the way they end it: “I promise you this, a little’s enough”. A little love is all you need, it will be enough. A little bit of love can go a long way. Does that mean you won’t have pain? No, but it’s cured by love. Love will bring the smile back, love will cure the wounds.
